I found this site, Bookshelf Porn, as I was writing (AKA procrastinating and using Stumble Upon).  In addition, I have been stock piling some lovely book photos.  I think I’ve had books on my mind not necessarily from class, but from reading The Shadow of the Wind, which is a gothicy mystery in post-war Barcelona beginning in the 1940s.  The main character, Daniel, is the son of a book dealer.  Daniel chooses one book from a vast underground collection which turns out to be one of the few left by an author names Julián Carax.  The book is written so well and the story is so enchanting that I can’t help falling in love with it, and the love for books in several of the characters makes me appreciate books even more.

Eat your hearts out, bookshelf fans.
